1996 Atlanta Committee for the Atlanta Games
/ In 1992 ACOG (Atlanta Committee for the Atlanta Games) chose Michael’s logo design for the Atlanta 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The concept itself was a synthesis of graphic motifs including Grecian torches and ascendant stars produced by the greater design team. As lead designer Michael was responsible for the creative work shown on this page and was present at the logo’s unveiling in Atlanta. His work is soon to be featured in a major two-volume book published by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) on Olympic design history.
